Experience
Tutor for 4 years in Biology, Chemistry, Algebra and Physics. I have lectured to undergraduates based on my experience winning a grant to travel to Brazil to study the processing and development of biofuel systems. Ph.D. training supported by USAID and UC Hort CRSP international development agendas for economic development beginning with agriculture, nutrition, and education. Personally, I have an active learning style. This has led to investigating many study strategies to identify the best way to engage subject matter when it has been most arduous (read: boring). The benefit of this lifelong process is the understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all method. A student must be engaged in a thoughtful approach to discover the best process for personalized learning and development.
