I graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. My current goal is a career in medicine. I gained tutoring experience during college by working with the writing center at the university, where I tutored students who were taking various writing courses. Working at the writing center gave me invaluable skills in tutoring and strengthened my love of teaching. Before working as a writing tutor, I worked extensively with ESL students. Since I was an immigrant to the U.S. at the age of 13, it is easy for me to understand the difficulties and experiences of many students who are learning English as a second language. Another strength of mine is working with children who have diagnoses such as ADHD or high functioning ASD. I have experience interacting with individuals with ADHD and ASD at the Children's Specialized hospital, where I shadow a developmental pediatrician as part of my pre-med career.I am comfortable tutoring ESL/ELL, English, Biology, Microbiology, Ecology, and various levels of Reading, Writing, and Science from elementary school through high school. I love everything related to science. In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, dancing, hiking, and seeking out new experiences.
