Experience
Certified NJ Teacher of K-12 English. I have worked as a student teaching intern at Highland Park High School teaching World Literature and Read 180. In addition, I completed my teaching practicum at Woodbridge High School in 2013. In my undergraduate years at Rutgers I was a tutor at the Plangere Writing Center, guiding undergraduates and graduates through critical reading and writing strategies that yielded real results. In addition to my passion for Education, I have enjoyed many years involved in a multitude of research endeavors with professors of English, Education, and Entomology. I was the president of Huntington Poetry Club, a New Brunswick student writing club, for four years. I believe that successful teaching begins with revealing the process behind the product. Whether you want to understand the technical aspects of writing, learn how to be an active reader, or simply raise your grade, I am here to make the process of reading and writing transparent through guided practice and support.
